Moondance Jam VI, set for July 10-12, only days away
Comedian Ron Feingold to bring 'special' brand of music to the Jam stage

Northern Minnesota's premiere classic rock music festival is only days away.

Moondance Jam VI, set for July 10-12 will feature 10 national acts and a roster of six local and regional bands. The Jam was expanded to three days this year because of its growing popularity.

Starting as, a modest music festival six years ago, which featured local and regional hands, the festival has nearly doubled in attendance each succeeding year. This year could see up to 30,000 jammers attending the three-day event.

Headlining this year’s jam will be Canada’s I.overboy, southern rockers Marshall Tucker, America, Nazareth, Grand Funk Railroad, blues-rocker Corey Stevens and Texas Flood, The Classic Rock All-Stars, popular ’60s retro groups Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals and The Turtles, and REO Speedwagon. The national acts will he complimented by six regional bands – a Moondance Jam tradition – which will perform earlier in the afternoon during the three-day festival. Regional hands scheduled to appear include the Retractions (local host hand), Ripchord, Anomaly, NPZ, Power Play and the Rock-a-Billy Revue.

Comedian Ron Feingold will add a bit of musical zaniness to this year’s Jam. The critically acclaimed Feingold, who has been entertaining professionally since he was 17, refers to his act as "Comedy A Cappella." Feingold will he performing between national acts each evening of the Jam. A new, enlarged camping area of 160 acres north of the performance site will also be available to festival-goers. Sixty acres of camping are open, with 100 acres in the wooded area. Private showers will he available. Additionally, the parking area adjacent to the concert fairgrounds has been expanded to 100 acres. Northern Lights Casino has offered free parking to jam-goers. Five shuttle vans will run continuously between the casino and the Jam site.

The Hubbard County Mounted Posse will provide 24-hour security in both the concert fairgrounds as well as the parking and camping areas.

Concessions, food and beverages will be available on the concert fairgrounds. VIP tickets are also available for $200. The price includes a three-day pass to the Jam, beverages and food.

A three-day advance pass to the jam is $40. After June 30 and up until July 8, advance three-day passes will he $50. Daily passes at the gate will he available for $30. Make plans to purchase advance passes, as only daily passes will he available during the jam.
