Moondance Jam Camping Contest CÄMPING CÖNTEST THEME:
"RÖCKIN CÄMPIN CRÜE" FOR 22!

Umlauts are taking over Moondance! They are everywhere... EVERYWHERE! Maybe it is Mötley Crüe and Blue Öyster Cult or maybe it is the "Röckin Cämpin Crüe" for 22! Whatever it is, we want to see your campsites RÖCK ÖÜT this year as your favorite band! Since we are encouraging everyone to dress up in 70s, 80s, rockstar, hippie, wigs, makeup or whatever for the Pre Jam Party, it would only make sense to have the camping contest theme along the same lines. We know you work hard to have fun, so we want to make it easy for you to have fun with this all weekend!

As always there will be at least 3 campsites picked as winners. They will win tickets to Moondance Jam 23. If your campsite rocks the Moondance Jam campgrounds the most, both you and your crew will be visiting Billy's Backstage bar and will get a view up on the StageBox on Saturday!

Judging

Judging is based on the quality and originality of the campsite. Judging is completely subjective.

There is a registration form at the bottom of the page. Please fill out and submit the form to make sure we can find your site.

2012 WinnersWe will have preliminary judges going around to check campsites on Thursday afternoon from about Noon until 3:00pm. The preliminary judges will decide the top campsites and record their locations for the finals. If no one is at your site, but most of your decorations are up, we will notice and either stop back later or leave a note if you make the finals, so that you can be prepared. We cannot guarantee times that we will be around because of the size of the area and number of campsites we have to cover in the preliminaries. If you don't think that you can have your site ready by Thursday early afternoon, upgrade your camping passes to 4 days and get to Moondance a day early to get a jump on decorating and to enjoy the Pre Jam Party on Wednesday night. To upgrade call 877-MOONJAM or you can upgrade at the gate on Wednesday.

The finalist judging crew will then hit the trails on Friday from approximately 11am - 2pm to judge the campsites that make the finals. (With Sweet hitting the stage at 3pm, we will try to have the finals wrapped up a little sooner than normal this year.)

  • There are at least three winning campsites: Grand Champion, 2nd Place and 3rd Place.
  • The winning campsites will be notified and then announced on stage on Saturday.

Prizes

  • All 3 winning campsites will receive 6 tickets for Moondance Jam 22.
  • The Grand Champion Campsite will also win passes to Billy's Backstage Bar and access to the StageBox for several songs during the 3:00, 5:00, 7:00 or 9:00 show on Saturday.
  • A maximum of six people per winning campsite are eligible for prizes.
  • A video of the camping contest will be shown at various times on the JumboTron on Saturday.
