The Original Family Stone - 2007

Founding Members of Sly & the Family Stone

Here are three of the original members of Sly and the Family Stone; tenor sax man Jerry Martini, Cynthia Robinson on trumpet and Rose Stone on lead vocals and keyboard. TheOriginalFamilyStone is the one group which is truly keeping alive the legacy created by Sly and The Family Stone.

They played this music at Woodstock and at Madison Square Garden (setting the record of selling out 14 times).

They were there in 1993 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

They were there in 2001 when The Rythmn And Blues Foundation awarded them the R&B Award, at the Apollo Theater.

There is the triple platinum album for their three song medley on Woodstock Live and the Greatest Hits Album which went Platinum 5 times over and continues racking up sales today. Last year Jerry, Cynthia and Rose performed at the 48th Annual 2006 Grammy Awards tribute to the music of Sly and the Family Stone.

Now these three original members continue to perform the music we all love in a tight explosive set of these hits that continue to bring audiences to their feet.
